Engagement with the Ambassador of Algeria

SLCCIA Engagement with the Embassy of Algeria on Economic Cooperation and Trade Opportunities

The Sierra Leone Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (SLCCIA) engaged with representatives of the Embassy of Algeria as part of its continued efforts to strengthen international partnerships and promote greater trade and investment cooperation between Sierra Leone and Algeria. The engagement provided an opportunity for both parties to explore areas of mutual interest and discuss potential pathways for expanding economic collaboration.

Discussions focused on identifying sectors with opportunities for increased cooperation, promoting trade and investment linkages, and encouraging stronger connections between the private sectors of both countries. The Chamber highlighted the importance of creating platforms that enable businesses to explore new markets, establish partnerships, and benefit from international commercial opportunities.

The engagement also provided an opportunity to discuss the role of private sector collaboration in supporting economic development, knowledge exchange, and investment promotion. Both sides recognised the importance of strengthening institutional relationships and facilitating connections between businesses to encourage greater bilateral cooperation.

The meeting formed part of SLCCIA’s broader strategy to expand its network of strategic international partners, promote cross-border business opportunities, and create value for members through increased access to trade and investment prospects. Through engagements with diplomatic missions and international stakeholders, the Chamber continues to support the growth and global integration of Sierra Leone’s private sector.
