The Chamber organizes a number of workshops and seminars on a variety of business issues such as Taxation, Employment issues, Environmental issues, Business Education Seminar etc. The highlight of the Chamber corporate calendar is the annual dinner in which the head of state, Finance Minister, Minister of Trade and Industry in conjunction with other dignitaries are hosted. A speech is made by the President of the Chamber in the interest of the National Economy and a subsequent response from the Head of State giving some indication of current or future Government policy on the issues rose in the Chambers’ Presidents speech. Trade Fair Exhibition

At the end of the first quarter (March) of every year, the Chamber organizes a national trade fair for a period of three months. The Chamber facilitates the participation of members in international trade fairs, conferences, seminars, and exhibitions; the Chamber also actively co-ordinates pre-exhibition arrangements with organizers in the host country. The rationale is to provide businesses/ companies the opportunity to promote their products and services to other local and international businesses. During such events, Chamber members receive discounts off the price of exhibition space. Diamond sponsors of the Exhibition are entitled to an exhibition space free of charge. The Chamber is extending these events at a national level to include regional headquarter towns, and also in the process of organizing Business Expo Events to be held quarterly across the country.

Networking Events

The Chamber find ways for you to network with other members; have opportunities to showcase and promote your business. Networking is the best way for businesses or companies to raise their profiles to build profitable and sustainable relationships and a platform for finding more about other businesses. Such events create exclusive opportunities for partners to recommend other businesses by word of mouth and generate business leads. Through the Chamber, members are linked to SIGOA-TOPS, West Africa Trade and Information Network (TINET) & COMMONWEALTH NETWORK (COMBINET), a network of top CEO’s within the Commonwealth and the WORLD CHAMBER NETWORK (WCN).

Through the membership directory, members are linked to potential and credible foreign and local partners to enable them to meet, exchange views and identify new business opportunities.

Athletics and Football Competition

The Athletics and Football League is one of such event the Chamber organizes every year in a bid to promote a friendly and business-like environment where both senior and junior members of staff of the various participating institutions get to network together and build lasting relationships. The Chamber also uses this event to promote good sportsmanship in the Country and affirm its commitment to support and promote sporting activities; Participating institutions use this platform to educate and market their products and services to the audience as well as branding opportunities for sponsors.

Workshops

The Chamber conducts series of unique and tailored workshops on a wide range of topics such as; quality standards, packaging, costing and pricing, logistics and customs documentation, productivity, Finance, trade show, etc. at the Chamber head office or at a member’s venue with the aim of adding value to business profitability.

Business Awards

Every year the Chamber organizes an award night in one of the members’ prestigious Hotels. Dinner is served and the event is climaxed by live performance, entertainment, comedy/fun and a speech from the guest speaker. The event provides an excellent opportunity to recognize outstanding employees’ performance, Chamber customers and Suppliers, Best Chamber Committees, Best Council Member of the year and business success.
