Adonis A. Abboud with over 40 years in Sierra Leone, Adonis is a well-established businessman, philanthropist and diplomat serving in the capacity of Hon. Consul -General of Serbia since 1991.

Having moved to the African continent as a young man, Adonis quickly moved onto becoming a well-reputed businessman in the field of Information, Communication and Technology, setting up Transnational SL Ltd the first Satellite dish provider in Sierra Leone. Today Transnational SL Ltd continues to thrive as the sole agent of multichoice dstv in Sierra Leone with Adonis as Chairman. He is also Founder and Chairman of Capital Radio Sierra Leone.

However, Adonis greatest contribution to Sierra Leone has been his continued commitment to the welfare and development of Sierra Leone through his many philanthropic endeavors, particularly his charity organization Pikin Bizness and education fund Adonis Abboud Trust Fund. He is also an active Rotarian and major Donor Benefactor Rotary International. This has earned him multiple regional accolades and awards over the years. (See attached list)

His relentless pursuit of the growth of Sierra Leone has led him to many prestigious diplomatic appointments such as Business Ambassador and Director for the Commonwealth Africa Initiative (2016/17) including being Crowned Honorary Paramount Chief, Upper Bambara Chiefdom, Kailahun District (2021). He is also the Dean and Founder of the Consular Corps in Sierra Leone.

Today Adonis Abboud sits on the Boards of major institutions and continues to be a force of goodwill and progress in Sierra Leone.

Oluniyi (Niyi) Robbin-Coker is a Sierra Leonean professional who has over 35 years of work and business experience internationally and in Sierra Leone. He has been an effective participant in the private and public sector as well International Financial Institutions.

He transitioned from a career at Citibank, New York to join the International Finance Corporation and moved to Sierra Leone becoming the founding Executive Director of the Sierra Leone Business Forum.  He went on to serve as Presidential Advisor on Private Sector in which capacity he led the country’s effort in policy reforms to improve the business climate, facilitated large scale FDI inflows and pioneered the Public Private Partnership function and Local Content Policy. He went on to serve as Minister of Energy & Water and Chairman of the Board of Sierra Leone Investment and Export Promotion Agency, driving more reforms and securing more FDI into the country.

He has since been a private sector participant, continuing to work with inward investors and seeding entrepreneurial ventures in Energy and Climate Change. He also served as Chairman of the Board of First Bank of Nigeria (SL) Ltd. He was elected First Vice President for the SLCCIA in April 2024, having previously served on the Chambers Council.

Edleen Elba is a Chartered Global Management Accountant, People Management Practitioner, Business Leader, and IFC-LPI Certified Trainer, with extensive senior management and service delivery experience within the Private and Public Sectors.

She is also the Founder and Managing Director of Elba Group, comprising Elba (SL) Ltd, a multi-sector investment company; JobSearch (SL) Ltd, a 17-year-old human resources management firm, and Elba Foundation, which seeks to nurture leaders, who are responsible citizens, through learning, civic engagement and preservation of culture.

Edleen’s career commenced at KPMG in 2003. Working in Sierra Leone and Ghana, she implemented financial management software, and provided support to users, which helped her learn business processes and organizational structures. In 2005, she created the Human Resources & Risk Management departments at KPMG and managed both for three years.

She worked at Guaranty Trust Bank (SL) Ltd for just over a year as Group Head, Human Resources and Corporate Affairs, which introduced her to Sierra Leone’s banking sector.

In 2010, Edleen was appointed Human Resources and Administration Manager at National Power Authority, an Executive Management role which allowed her to lead the implementation of several reform initiatives, and successfully manage the people and communication aspects of the energy sector unbundling process.

Edleen is a Founding Director of Institute of Human Resources Sierra Leone, Chair of MEPS Trust Well Woman Clinic fundraising and awareness committee, Chair of the Steering Committee of TVET Coalition and a Board Member of the Healey International Relief Foundation.

Edleen’s commitment to learning and women’s empowerment is unwavering, and she expresses this through every aspect of her work.

Dr. Modupe Taylor-Pearce

Dr. Modupe Taylor-Pearce is a Sierra Leonean scholar and practitioner of leadership and organizational development. Born in Sierra Leone and raised in Ghana, Kenya, and Sierra Leone, Dr. Taylor-Pearce is one of the few Africans to ever graduate from the prestigious United States Military Academy (West Point). His passion for leadership development was born out of his experiences as a military officer serving in combat in the Sierra Leone Civil War, where he was wounded twice in combat.

In his post-military career, Dr. Taylor-Pearce was a business turnaround specialist who consulted with and led organizations in Europe, North America, and Africa, generating hundreds of millions of dollars of shareholder value for investors and conducting leadership workshops for tens of thousands of business professionals. He earned a Master’s degree in Manufacturing and Engineering from Cornell University and a PhD in Leadership and Organizational Development from Capella University.

His passion for the transformation of Africa spurred him to co-found CTI Ltd (www.cticonsultingsl.com), a management and leadership consultancy firm in Sierra Leone, and BCA Leadership (www.bcaleadership.com), one of Africa’s largest leadership enhancement and coaching organizations. Dr. Taylor-Pearce is the author of several books on leadership and entrepreneurship in Africa, including “Business Bomba” and “Leadership Made in Africa” books. He hosts a weekly podcast for leaders in Africa called Success in Africa and is the curator of the Made in Africa Leadership Conference (MLC), an annual learning conference for leaders in Africa. He is a sought-after executive coach to several CEOs in Africa and was recently the only black African chosen in the list of the 50 most influential coaches in the world by Thinkers50.
